GOOD AND BAD (AND GOOD)
(January 7, 2007)
The New Year isn’t a bad start for me. I got almost everything that I want-from a new digicam, cellphones, game consoles for both my hubby and mykidbro, to a new handycam-except for that fun vacay in Pinas.
Last night after I talked to my folks and mykidbro over the fone, my bro in-law, Niko showed me his new video iPOD. It’s a sweet 30GB iPOD that he just got with complete accessories–iTrip connector, speakers, and iTUNES card to name a few. All of a sudden, he asked me if I wanted to have them and I was like, “No. Those are yours.” But him still so in love with his new Sidekick cellphone that he got for himself for Christmas, insisted on giving me the iPOD with all the accessories. And who am I to say no to free good stuff!! I NATURALLY, TOOK THE iPOD. Until now, I still am amazed at how generous and nice he is to me. Considering that ever since I came here in the States, he’s the one who’s been giving me cellphones that I have been using here.
But just this morning, while I was getting ready for work, I discovered that my sweet old 20GB old school iPOD broke down. It has been with me since 2004, a few months before I migrated the US from Pinas. It has about 4,000 songs in it. Three-fourths of those songs are imported from my PC back in Pinas which already crashed too. So there’s no way that I can import those songs again to my new iPOD because Apple just do not support file sharing, or that’s what I thought until my smart hubby found a way of transferring those old songs from my old iPOD to the new one. And while I’m doing this blog, we are in the process of still working on those transfers.
Well wish me luck on this because my old iPOD is one of my most important material possessions. I just love songs. I listen to every kind of music genre there is and I dance to the most unheard of songs that is in my iPOD. And besides, like what a collegue from work and a close friend of mine-Lu-lu have texted me earlier, I am the music master so I needed this “project” to be successful!
P.S. Oh I just remember, after doing all these songs transfers, I need to re-do my play lists from my old iPOD to the new one. So I still have a long way to go. …sigh. But yea, might as well make the play lists again than not being able to restore my music collection of 4000 songs in my iPOD.
