At 7:30AM Pacific Time today - 083008, my Husband got up and logged on right away to the Net.  We knew that the Eraserheads Reunion Concert might have just ended (which was around 10:30PM, Manila time) and so we were hoping to see some videos posted through Youtube.com by lucky people who were able to come and watch that very much awaited gig! 

It was only last Tuesday the 27th, when Raymund Marasigan announced from the Eraserheads Mailing List (where my Husband is a part of) that tickets for the concert are then for-sale as the previous promoter pulled-out their sponsorship of the occasion due to an anti-smoking advocacy issue.  That was just four days away from the big day so it was impossible for me and my husband to fly home to the Philippines for that.

Moving fast forward to the event itself…it is likewise, unfortunate that the concert had to be cut short due to Ely Buendia’s poor health condition.  His Mother passed away last Thursday due to cancer and Ely, himself was reported to have suffered physical and emotional stress while the show was going on.  But maybe, it happened for a reason.  Maybe there will be another reunion concert for them.  Maybe by that time, more Eraserheads fans will be able to witness it.  And maybe, me and my husband are definitely coming home just for that.

i loved how the chinese people opened the 2008 olympics. it was hair-raising and breath-taking both at the same time. i am so impressed and my favorite are the dream fairies when the olmypic rings are being lifted! bravura!
